Superintendent Mark Walden and Evangelist Mary Alice Brady Walden serve as the Pastor and Elect Lady of the Old Time Way Church of God In Christ, in Augusta, GA. From this union they have two children, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. Pastor Walden is a native of Burke County. He was educated in Gough Elementary and Waynesboro High Schools. Pastor Walden joined Peel Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He is a man after God’s own heart. The Lord saved and filled Pastor Walden with the blessed gift of the Holy Ghost on December 31, 1973. He became a member of the Friendly Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of the late Superintendent Cleveland Woods. He was chosen as a Deacon on August 1, 1974 and worked faithfully on the Deacon Board. He was ordained as a Deacon on January 6, 1976. The Lord called him in the ministry in 1981. He was ordained as an elder on March 20, 1983 by the late Bishop John Howard Dell. On January 1, 1984, he was appointed to the Old Time Way Church of God in Christ.

Pastor Walden served as the Chairman of the Augusta District from 1993 until 2014 when he was appointed as District Superintendent by Bishop Walden, Prelate of the Northern Georgia Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Richmond County Recreation Department at McDuffie Woods, a member of the University Hospital Clergymen Staff, and a member of the Church of God in Christ Ordination Board, Northern Georgia Jurisdiction #2.

Evangelist Walden is the president of the Women Department, treasurer for the Supervisor of Women, Northern Georgia #2 and the treasurer for the Augusta District Women Department.
