Bishop Charles A. Wallace, Sr. is the son of the late Evangelist Emmett Wallace and Mother Sweetie Mae Wallace. He is married to 1st Lady Beatrice Wallace. They have four sons: Omari, Charles Jr., Quinten, and Devin. In 1980 he gave his life to the Lord, being filled with the Holy Ghost by the evidence of speaking in tongues and receiving the water baptism in Jesus’ name. He served dutifully at Wallace Temple Holiness Church where he was Sunday School teacher, musician, and Deacon.

He was called to be a Minister after manifesting his ability to lead, teach, and serve God’s people. Minister Wallace also acted as assistant to the Pastor. In 1984, he became affiliated with New Hope Apostolic Holiness Church, and while there was ordained an Elder. Elder Wallace worked closely with the Pastor and ministered the Word of God when the Pastor became too ill to continue in this capacity.

Following the move of God, Elder Wallace began his own ministry in November 1990. Faith Deliverance Apostolic Tabernacle was organized, and in March 1991 the Charter of Incorporation was received. This organization’s birthplace was in the home of Elder and Sister Wallace. In November 1992 Elder Wallace and the Saints marched to their new building.

(The current Location on Wendell Street in Savannah, GA.) Service was held in the church fellowship hall for about two years. In June 1994, the beautiful edifice was completed and became the place of worship. Having been faithful to the shepherding of God’s people, and having displayed the characteristics and servant’s spirit of a Bishop, Elder Charles Wallace was elevated.

With the dynamic manifestation of the call of God upon his life, he accepted this promotion in May 2001. As Bishop, he continues to work steadfastly and is committed to his calling.
