Dr. Chris Williamson

Dr. Chris Williamson, also affectionately known as “Pastor Chris,” is the founder and Senior Pastor of Strong Tower Bible Church, a multiracial fellowship in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 1995, Pastor Chris has led Strong Tower Bible Church (STBC) in a mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ and a vision of “experiencing, explaining, and expanding God’s Diverse Kingdom in the city and throughout the world.” As a consultant, he helps mainstream and religious institutions work through issues of race, diversity, and cultural sensitivity. Whether through books, blogs, sermons, or workshops, his brainchild called “Social Exegesis” has helped many people develop the necessary critical thinking skills to wisely interpret the complex social ills of our day.

Pastor Chris was a founding member of the pioneer Christian rap group Transformation Crusade, recording two projects for Benson Records in the early 1990s under the production of gospel great, Fred Hammond. Pastor Chris has ministered all across the USA, as well as abroad in Sudan, Ghana, Benin, Israel, Malawi, the Caribbean, Nigeria, South Africa, Haiti, and England. Because of his ability to connect with people of all ages, Pastor Chris is often called upon to preach for businesses, conferences, schools, colleges, and the NFL. He has also authored two books, Making Disciples Who Make a Difference, and One But Not The Same.

After receiving his B.A. in Biblical Studies and his Master of Religious Education, Pastor Chris earned his Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University’s School of Business and Leadership, where he won “The Award of Excellence” as the most outstanding graduate in his class.

Pastor Chris and his lovely wife, Dorena, live in Franklin, TN and have four beautiful children: Dante, Christa, Chase, and Charis.
