Pastor Eric Suddith was licensed and ordained to preach the gospel in 1993. Shortly, after acknowledging his call, by the grace of God he established a Prison Ministry at Northern State Prison, a maximum-security prison of 2,300 inmates in Newark, New Jersey. He served as the Minister of Out-reach at Calvary Baptist Church, Morristown, New Jersey under the leadership of Dr. Jerry M. Carter before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. Pastor Suddith served as Associate Pastor of Union Missionary Baptist Church, Lithonia, Georgia from 2000-2003.  

Pastor Suddith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and later earned a Master’s degree in Business. He has studied at the Wake Forest University MBA Executive Program, Moscow State University in the former Soviet Union, Postgraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Engineering, as well as the New Brunswick Theological Seminary. 

Additionally, he is a proven executive with 25 plus years of corporate experience. He served fifteen years with AT&T managing information technology and network engineering with exceptional competencies and abilities in operations management. He has held several executive positions including Vice President of Network Engineering and Strategic planning and Vice President of Operations as a Corporate Officer for Internap Networking, Inc.  After having served as Vice President of Operations for 3 years, he served as Vice President of Human Resources for the company.  In 2009, Pastor Suddith resigned from the corporate world to devote his full attention to the work of ministry.  Currently he serves as President of the New Work Foundation, a non-profit organization of the Stone Mountain Baptist Association, formed to plant and support newly planted churches.  Pastor Suddith and the Emmanuel family go on a mission trip each year to help build a church for those who can’t build on their own.

Pastor Suddith loves the Lord!  He faithfully serves by example, and continues to lead the Emmanuel family in spiritual growth, and in the establishing of ministries.  Pastor Suddith is a firm believer in educating the Saints about the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He believes the more you know about our awesome God, the more you’ll want to know, and the more you’ll want to praise Him.  Therefore, he dedicatedly preaches and teaches the Word of God.

Pastor Eric Suddith has been married to his loving and devoted wife, Melany for 35 years.  The two began dating as teenagers and have remained inseparable these many years.  To this union were born three children:  Joshua (wife Chaundra), Ashley, and Stephanie.  The Suddiths are blessed with three grandsons: Joshua II, Jonathan, and Josiah.
