Pastor David E. Benton

Reverend David E. Benton is a native of Alexander City, AL. He confessed Christ at the early age of eight at Rocky Mt. Baptist Church in Alexander City, AL, and was later baptized.

Rev. Benton is grateful for the foundation that was laid for him through his parents, grandparents along with a loving church family who taught him about Jesus. Through the years God held him close, because he had work for him to do. He surrendered to God and answered his call into the Gospel Ministry in the Spring of 2006, later preaching his initial sermon and received his license April 9, 2006. He served as Associate Pastor of Evergreen Baptist Church in Valley, AL from 2006-2008 under the leadership of his father, Pastor David L. Benton.

Reverend Benton earned the Pastor’s Alternative Certification from the National Baptist Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention. As a result of faithfulness to the work of the ministry that he dearly loves, God has tremendously blessed his preaching ability. Reverend Benton preaches with power, proclivity, and passion that convicts and encourages.

In March 2009 Reverend Benton was called to Pastor Bethel Baptist Church in Alpine, AL Spring of 2009 and served there until 2010.  In July 2010 Rev. Benton transitioned to Indianapolis, IN where he served as Associate Minister and later served as Executive Pastor under Dr. Michael A. Searcy at New Direction Worship Center until 2012. Following the voice and instructions of God Rev. Benton relocated to the state of Georgia in 2012 and united with the Greater Liberty Hill Baptist Church family where he served as an Associate Minister.

In February 2014, Greater Liberty Hill Baptist Church called Rev. Benton and now he proudly serves as Senior Pastor. Regardless of earthly awards received Pastor Benton is thankful and humbled for the greatest gift that has ever been bestowed upon him, and that’s the call to serve God through the Gospel Ministry.
