Evan G. Collins is the younger of two sons born to Rev. O.C. and Mrs. Evelyn Collins, Jr. He and his wife Lincoln J. Collins are both natives of Memphis, TN. Rev. Collins graduated from Bishop Byrne High school and later enrolled at the University of Tennessee at Martin graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.

During his course of study at UT Martin he joined the Kappa Omicron Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., serving as the chapter Vice President for 2 years. 

In 2008, he accepted his calling into the ministry and was ordained in December of 2010. He served the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church as an associate minister, principle of vacation bible school, and youth instructor each for 4 consecutive years.

On August 19, 2013, Rev. Evan G. Collins was elected as senior pastor of Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Collins follows a line of preachers and pastors, stemming from his grandfather the late Rev. O.C. Collins, Sr. (Progressive Missionary Baptist Church). He is currently enrolled in Memphis Theological Seminary to obtain a Masters in Divinity.
