Pastor Sam Maxwell
We believe that God left the Church on earth that people might know how to have eternal life. Jesus last words to His disciples were “Ye shall be witness unto me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Therefore, we are endeavoring to make Christ’s Last Command our First Concern.
Our Sunday celebrations, emphasis on ministering to others, concern for those who don’t know Christ as Savior motivates us to “… endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:1b-3). We’ve grown to realize that the life and health of the body of Christ is contingent on the inter-personal relationships among Church family members.
The worship, praise, and preaching moments are also supplemented by various teaching and learning encounters, such as: Tuesday morning Bible Study (11:00am) and Wednesday evening Bible Study (7:30pm); Sunday morning Bible Study (10:00am); and weekly Small Group Bible Studies “from house to house.”
I pray this brief introduction to our church will encourage you to stop in for a visit in one our Sunday services and/or a teaching and learning encounter. However, whether you visit or not please pray for the “First Family” that we will continue to grow “Stronger through Worship; Broader through Ministry, Larger through Evangelism; Warmer through Fellowship; and Deeper through Discipleship.”
Churches have the distinct pleasure of being the only institution in the world with the greatest potential for bringing about definitive change in society, one life at a time This potential for change is a result of the Church’s trust in the transcendent power of God “to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that within us,” (Ephesians 3:20).
