REV. DR. JOSHUA T. JONES JR.
Husband, Father, Pastor, Military Intelligence Officer, Leadership Consultant, Conference Speaker and Counselor; Pastor Jones was born in Norfolk, Virginia. He is the Senior Pastor for Roberts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Goldston, NC. He previously served as the Executive Pastor and Chair for the Board of Trustees at We Are One Christian Fellowship INC, Greensboro, NC. He and his wife (Denise) enjoy serving God’s people wherever they are sent. He has served in many positions in ministry and has held the Senior Pastor position for several ministries while overseas before returning to the United States in 2005.
He is a 1987 graduate of Shaw University, Raleigh, NC. After graduation, he attended Shaw Divinity School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army—Active Duty in 1988. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, is a Combat Veteran and retired in 2010 after 25 years of service. He currently serves as the Director of Veterans and Disability Support Services at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He is also an Adjunct Professor for California National University. Pastor Jones also holds a Masters in Leadership from Central Michigan University and completed his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2007.
He is also the founder/CEO of B.E.L.T. (Building Effective Leaders and Teams) a consultant business that trains/instructs corporate and non-profit organizations on leadership and team building. Pastor Jones is recognized for his dynamic preaching, leadership, leadership training, humility and his love for people.
He is married to the former Denise Henderson and they have two children, Jalisa, and Joshua (Trey) III. They have had 5 foster children and serve as spiritual parents to many others.
