Pastor Eric Knapp is the Pastor and spiritual leader of the Greater Clark Street Missionary Baptist Church located in the City of Jackson, Mississippi. He is a God-fearing man who trusts God for His all and all. He confessed his call to the ministry on Mother’s Day 2001. Since then, God has truly blessed his ministry.
Pastor Knapp is an active member of New Galilean Missionary Baptist Church, where he is one of the Sons of the House. For a number of years, Pastor Knapp served as the Choir Director of the Male Choir, the Youth &Young Adult Choir, and the Sanctuary Choir. He is a graduate of Jackson State University and is a retired educator of Jackson Public School. Pastor Knapp is also a family man. He is the seventh of seven children. He has been married to the beautiful Mrs. Jeri Martin Knapp, who he so lovingly refers to as his “Good Thing” for 25 years. He is the proud father of daughter Erica and son Jeric and the grandfather of Jaida.
Besides Pastor Knapp’s passion to preach God’s unadulterated gospel and to win souls for Christ, he loves gospel music. He has served as guest director for several recording artists, as well as for a number of musical productions. Pastor Knapp was honored at the Mississippi Gospel Music Awards for Pastor of the Year, as well as “Sanging” Pastor of the Year.
Pastor Knapp’s motto and favorite scripture is Psalms 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my mouth”.
